Cobalt-Chromium Peripheral Stent, Neptun C OTW Over the Wire delivery system type is intended for dilating de novo or restenotic atherosclerotic lesions in peripheral arteries.
The stent platform is made of cobalt-chromium alloy L605. The stent has cylindrical, segmented design with repeating elements.
The delivery system for Neptun C OTW consists of:
- Y-hub;
- dual lumen polyamide tube (first lumen for guidewire, second for filling balloon);
- polyamide balloon.
- The delivery system has two radiopaque markers to identify cylindrical portion of the balloon, that enables the stent positioning within the lesion.
Delivery system for Neptun C RX, consists of:
- Soft distal part – made of an outer tube, an inner tube and a polyamide balloon. It has two channels – external for balloon inflation and internal for the guidewire (side channel – RX port). Two radiopaque markers are placed on inner tube to identify the stent position within the lesion. In addition, a hydrophilic coating is applied to the distal section of the catheter;
- Rigid proximal part – consists of a fluoropolymer coated stainless steel tube and a cap with a single female luer port for inflation and deflation of the balloon.
The stent is delivered to the treated lesion, expanded by inflating the balloon, and then remains in the patient’s body as a permanent implant, which, thanks to its radial force, constitutes a peripheral vessel scaffold.
